Thanks for your help, Paul. You're getting a bit beyond my (limited) computer knowledge now! I did check out the 'Services' in Computer Management, but SqueezeCenter wasn't listed (SqueezeMySQL was, but I assume this is something different). Does that make any sense?
How do I check to see if something else is using the port? Oh, and I forgot to say before I've also got SpyBot on the computer, but I've tried disabling that (and the firewall and Avast) and restarting everything, but that doesn't help either. The SB connects to the network, goes through all the network setup steps, but when it gets to the last step - 'Select Music Source' is just says 'No SqueezeCenter Found'. (I did try manually inputting the IP address, but that didn't work either). I might try uninstalling and doing a clean install of SqueezeCenter again. Don't want to, as it takes ages to scan my music library.
