Just different ideas over the last few years...Initially I started to rip in ALAC to save space and then moved to wav files in order to preserve the original file - no good reason I suppose. The newer hi-res downloads are in PCM and I was not sure if they could be ripped with ALAC. At this stage with >700 CD's ripped, I am not in a position to restart. I could use iTunes to convert all to ALAC but was looking to avoid this. Ultimately, it is not a train-smash if I cannot get album art but it is a "nice to have"
