IMO there are two ways to travel this road (Probably more but just for
sake of discussion, two.) One is to have a multi-room stereo that feeds
that same source throughout the house. The second is to have multiple
SlimDevices throughout the house that can be sync'd to achieve the same
as number one or run separtely to the taste of occupants of the
different rooms.

Me, I walk the line in between. I have a Niles speaker switch that
distributes the source to several of the public rooms of the house, but
also have a Boom as an alarm in the bedroom, one planned for the shop,
and an SB3 (with the AV amp connected) in the "entertainment" room.
It's great music EVERYWHERE!

I know you'll have fun planning and executing either/any solution.

Enjoy the music!
