Thanks for all those speedy replies. The situation I have is that the house is already pre-wired back to the cellar with non-active ceiling speakers already installed, so I have to fit a system around that.
The best amp I've looked at so far (as recommended above) is the AudioSource Amp100. I like the line-out for input 2 as I can easily loop it into a subwoofer for the kitchen (also auto-off). The issue I have is that I'm in the UK and there doesn't seem to be anywhere here that stocks them. Shipping from the US is around £65 (!) , more than the amp itself. I'll have to have a look at the Sonic Impact T-Amp but I seem to remember seeing this before and again having no luck finding one in the UK.
