I agree 110%! I have an 250 GB USB external hard drive full of FLAC files that I would like to play anywhere. Seems like the Boom should have a USB input. It would solve my upcoming problem (see below). My office is "upgrading" and restricting the software installed on our soon-to-arrive new computers -- for security. So no more Foobar2000 to listen to my music. Any suggestions on how to listen to my 12,000 FLAC files at work without being able to add additional software? Instead of the Boom with a USB connection for my office (which would be simple), I was thinking about this way too complicated solution -- the Linux wall wart with SC installed connected to the USB external hard drive as source and a SB with powered speakers for music. -- Lefatshe ******** Fanless Zalman TNN 300 PC->Transporter->Rowland Concentra->Gallo Nucleus Reference 2 audiophile goal: faking-out your brain so you believe you're at the live concert ------------------------------------------------------------------------ Lefatshe's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=13577 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=62837 _______________________________________________ discuss mailing list [email protected] http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/discuss
