Come on all you guys speculating in built-in-server capabilities,
dock+remote etc. This is clearly "just" a Jazzed-up classic. It has some
nice additions to what the classic can do. But it will not do all the
things you dream of. Browsing usb-music will be by folder-structure as
no scan is being done and most likely you will not be able to share it
with other Squeezeboxen across the network. If the product proves me
wrong: great. But I hardly think so.
My guess is that the classic will stop being produced pretty soon as it
doesn't seem to have any advantages over the SBT (Squeezebox Touch)
except if you prefer the vfd and design of the classic. And perhaps
pricing, but who knows how the prices will compare a couple og months
after the release.

But speculations like what we see in this thread is excatly why
companies like Logitech go through big ordeals to keep products secret
until properly announced. 1. people will want to return stuff/hold their
buy untill they can get hold of the new shiny stuff. 2. Rumors about
what the product can actually do start cirkulating faster than a frog in
a blender.

All that being said, I too love to get a sneak preview of stuff that is
about to come. I actually guessed that something was about to come with
the rebranding of the website and new nomenclature of the software
suite. For me a good wall-mount and
wipe-off-smudgy-fingerprints-and-ability-to-contiune-looking-good-in-a-kitchen-environment
ability is very important for me if I were to buy it any day soon.
