Hi, I had the same problem with iPlayer running on vortexbox (FC11). I tried pinging www.bbc.co.uk and found it couldn't be resolved. bbc.co.uk could be found.
I then grepped the iPlayer plugin directory for www.bbc.co.uk, found the offending url and removed the preceeding www.
