IMHO, the absence of complaints is not sufficient evidence to conclude there is no problem. I'd agree that the "silent majority" probably aren't affected, but then the majority of users probably don't stream FLAC, and the problem being discussed here is isolated to high bitrate files. I think it's pointless to debate if there are sufficient incidences to warrant action; there is a bug report, and if enough people vote for it then attention will be paid. So far, there are only 5 votes, and that just ain't enough to get the issue addressed.
