I think the idea is that it is portable AND it will work wirelessly
with your local SC system.

I for one would welcome a device such as this... a sort of Boom 2.

* Detachable battery pack & handle
* USB port
* Local SC
* Touch screen
* Headphone output ON THE FRONT.

If sound quality and volume was not compromised (which I'm sure it
would be) I'd prefer a smaller form factor as I find the Boom is bit
large/heavy to use as an alarm/radio, or even carry around much.

It seems to me that the Boom integrated player is the device that would
most benefit from a touch screen.
