My upgrade went fine, as did another machine here.
Your itunes Libraries are in your music folder in your home folder.
itunes 5 has created its own library in place of the old one. The old one is in a folder called previous itunes Libraries in the music folder also.
I know it's a new library file because the date created was 7/9/05.

Your Library file could have been corrupted before updating.
You can either try and get your old Library file to work by deleting the new one and putting the old one in it's place (renaming it iTunes Library). When you restart itunes it will attempt to update you Library again. This probably won't work.
or redo your playlists.
I know it's a bit late now but it's a good idea to back up your libraries regularly to avoid this.

Hm, that's strange, my iTunes library and playlists are all appearing
fine via iTunes 5...

Is it possible that what you are seeing is old playlists from 4.9? In
other words 5 puts playlists in a different place but doesn't delete
the old ones, so you think you're OK, but if you added a new playlist
it doesn't appear?

How does SlimServer "see" the iTunes playlists? Can someone tell me
that so I can check file locations on my Mac?

thanks

Paul
