Incidentally, it occurred to me that I do have something I can check the stream with - my iPhone. I just loaded up Tuner on the iPhone, entered the same URL as on my Squeezebox Radio, and it works just fine. This seems to confirm that the problem isn't network/Nicecast/Mac related, but Squeezebox Radio related.
