This was reported in bug 15271 as in SBS systems which cannot transcode such as ReadyNAS this behaviour resulted in non playable stream due to another bug 13955 ( https://bugs.slimdevices.com/show_bug.cgi?id=13955 ).
The change fixing bug 15271 ( https://bugs.slimdevices.com /show_bug.cgi?id=15271 ) is supposed to make SBS only ask for AAC when the player can play AAC natively.
