That's correct, it's the same VFD (x2), and as of now, the TP has not been discontinued. The decision makes sense to me, because there is a ready substitute (the Touch with LCD screen) for the mainstream market, although obviously the timing on that transition hasn't worked out according to plan. And I strongly doubt Logitech will ever produce a successor to the TP for the higher end of the market. It's just not what they do, because they're a mass market producer of computer peripherals, not a high end audio company. So putting the remaining stock of VFDs into TPs until they're all gone seems like a reasonable decision.
The decision may also have been influenced by the remaining stock of other components for the SB3 and TP. -- aubuti ------------------------------------------------------------------------ aubuti's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=2074 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=75546 _______________________________________________ discuss mailing list [email protected] http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/discuss
