Sounds like you are looking for something more along the lines of the Rocketfish wireless audio products - they accept an audio input and broadcast it wirelessly to a receiver; options include a receiver that will provide audio outputs to connect to an existing sound system or wireless speakers.
Basically they replace wires with a wireless connection. I'm not sure of the impact on signal quality if any. The Squeezebox approach offers much more control and flexibilty, but if you're happy with your setup and just want to go wireless it may be the easiest approach. -- JeffHart "You know, I'm all for progress.
