Yes I bought a JP1 cable and tried it out a few years back. However I found all the different homebrew utilities (JP1, JP1.2, IR, Remote Master, KeyMap Master, RDF, DecodeCCF etc. etc.) so complex and hard to learn that I just had to give up on it in the end. It would have taken less time to programme several remotes by hand!
A shame really since the principle was good, just let down by awful s/w.
