I am not sure where to post this, as there are quite a few threads about
connectivity problems for internet radio playback, in several different
forums. I had problems with Pandora and other internet services
(slacker, live365) immediately after upgrading to 7.5. I first worked
on the ALAC crashes, and we got that working now (fixed in the newest
7.5.1 updates). Next is to try to figure out why Pandora wouldn't play
more than one or two songs without halting playback. It is as if
someone just pressed Stop.

I found this started happening after upgrading to 7.5, which
immediately required my SB3 to have a firmware update. When I went back
to 7.4.2, the other problem (apple lossless crashes) went away, but the
Pandora/radio problem continued. I have noticed that my firmware did
not update when going back (I am not sure if it should have, but I
think I read in another thread that it should have). This leads me to
believe the new SB3 firmware is the source of the problem. It was the
only thing that remained after uninstalling 7.5 and reverting to
7.4.2.

Also note that I had exactly the same problem both connected to
mysqueezebox.com, and connected to SB3 locally, so I do not think it is
specific to either of those.

I believe I have solved the problem (I am now running 7.5.1) in my case
by increasing the buffering and network timeout values. In SBS, the
settings page, you go into Advanced > Network. I doubled the Radio
Station Buffer Seconds from 3 to 6, and doubled the Radio Timeout
seconds from 5 to 10. Since then I was able to play Pandora all day
today without loss of connectivity.

In mysqueezebox.com, you can go to My Players > Network, and set the
Radio Station Buffer Seconds to 6, in the same way. (I don't see a
timeout setting there).

At this point I am guessing that something about the new firmware has
introduced some occasional glitches that can interrupt playback, and
that the longer timeout and buffer settings alleviate the problem. If
you try it and it doesn't work you could try even larger values, or if
it works you may be able to reduce them somewhat. However I don't
notice any negative to the change in settings (I would expect a few
extra seconds to start the radio streaming).

I hope this helps some of you.
