I don't have a solution, but a simlar thing happened to me and I'm not quite sure why.
Here is the readout of the "Music Scan Details" on the Information Page Directory Scan (20748 of 20748) Complete 00:26:36 Playlist Scan (9 of 9) Complete 00:00:07 Merge Various Artists (1 of 1528) Complete 00:00:17 Copland Conducts Copland Music scan terminated unexpectedly (Merge Various Artists) Total Time: 00:27:00 (Monday, May 24, 2010 / 12:15 AM) I would attach the scanner log file but it is huge and seems to be too big to post.
