The OP of this tread has a Ready NAS so different issue .
Crashed scan on win is pretty much always anti-virus or similar, set
them to ignore *.MYD and *.MYI files etc .
Latest culprit has been
MSE
comodo
McAffe
....
This will be less of an issue after 7.6 (I hope)

issue ? locale of NAS ? The origin of the files and folders ? smb snafu

What do they look like seen from a shell prompt like ssh ?
