Sorry to follow up my own post again, but according to 'the wiki article on the Touch' (http://wiki.slimdevices.com/index.php/Squeezebox_Touch_as_a_Home_Music_Server#Audio_Formats) you should be able to play ALAC with TinySBS. However, you will not be able to use TinySBS to stream ALAC to any IP3K players (SliMP3, SB, SB2, SB3/Classic, Transporter, Duet, Boom).
