Thanks for responding. I am streaming through Winamp using /stream.mp3 like you said. I didn't think of it at the time that wouldn't work because Winamp is looking for files with the extension .mp3 and not .flac. The MP3s stream are encoded at 320kbps. I do get some buffering at times listening at work but I imagine it will be much worse with much larger FLAC files.
I think what I might do instead is use one of my other computers I have at home and install Squeezebox Server and stream the MP3 files off that computer. I will forward port 9000 to that computer instead. I have a Log Me In account so I can turn on that remotely whenever I need to.
