That doesn't really matter - Squeezebox Server will NOT send a FLAC stream for /stream.mp3. But you have the option to transcode the FLAC to a lower bitrate MP3 by using bitrate limiting. Squeezebox Server will transcode your FLAC files to MP3 on-the-fly without any problem. Just install LAME and enable bitrate limiting for the player at work.
