Without wishing to detract in the slightest from the great work achieved already by, amongst others, flattermann on Android and pippin on Apple devices, top of the list of requests is always (understandably) to introduce functionality to allow the device to act as a player.
This post certainly isn't intended to niggle again and demand instant releases to turn our phones into Squeezeboxes overnight. These guys are already under enough pressure from a justly grateful customer base. I do genuinely wonder though why it's not been done yet by any of the Apple or Android developers (not just pippin or flattermann), given that it must be the number one feature being requested and would without doubt make an offering stand above its competitors.
