If I was going to add play functionality to one of those devices, I'd think about porting ' Ralphy's Squeezeslave2' (http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=54124&highlight=squeezeslave2). There's already a Linux version (actually, AFAIK, it started out in Linux), which might be a leg up for Android. Not that it would be anything like trivial. Once you have it ported, you can just control it as though it were just another SB player - so you can keep Ralphy's open source work open and make your own choices about your own code. Moose (again, AFAIK) does it this way.
