Bingo. Pandora only works with hardware players. I recall seeing an
error message that specifically says that, although that may have been
using SqueezePlay instead of SoftSqueeze. Either way, you need a real
SB to use Pandora.

A very brief description of the relationship between mysqueezebox.com
and local Squeezebox Server (SbS) goes something like this. An SB has
to be connected to one server, and only one server at a time. mysb.com
gives you access to internet services (internet radio, Rhapsody,
Pandora, Slacker, etc) without having your computer on running SbS. SbS
gives you access to all the same services (usually more reliably than
mysb.com), as well as access to your own music library stored on your
home network. SbS does "talk" to mysb.com for credential verification
etc on subscription-based services such as Rhapsody, etc. If you don't
mind running a local server, that is generally acknowledged by users to
be a more reliable arrangement than relying on mysb.com.
