Have you tried with Squeezeplay then you get an "emulator" that behaves like a Touch/Radio/Controller thingy . Nothing prevents you from having both installed.
I would not at all be surprised if some subscription services only works with real hardware players. But I have no hard facts where I live we don't have to many of these services.
