Not moving at all - I've just fixed it though!

I was mulling over this last night, and it occurred to me that two
things were related:

- I generally have problems with precise control of things on the
iPad screen, because the selection point always seems to be a few mm
above where my finger is actually making contact. I've just assumed
it is supposed to be like that, so your finger doesn't completely
  obscure what you're selecting.
- The scrub bar is very close to the bottom of the screen - probably
closer than any control in any other app I use.

...so I began thinking that it might be impossible for me to select the
scrub bar because of this. It is so close to the bottom of the screen,
there is no touch sensor available those few mm below it.

This confirmed that what I am experiencing is definitely not normal and
must be some sort of mis-calibration. I got the sinking feeling that I
was going to have to be returned to Apple for repair...

I started researching this last night. and found some interesting
results. There were a number of reports of people having similar
problems, all as a result of installing a particular jailbreak app -
OpenSSH. I didn't mention that my iPad was jailbroken as I didn't think
this was relevant, but I also have OpenSSH installed. Last night I
uninstalled it, rebooted it and my screen now reacts in exactly the
place I touch it! I went straight back into squeezepad, and the scrub
bar works without any issue now. Hopefully this might be useful to
anyone else with jailbroken tablets.

That's interesting... I've tried this out on my Touch as suggested, and
confirm you're absolutely right. So, when I select a track on the left
hand side, does that mean I'm really actually selecting a position in
the shuffled tracklist?

I don't think the situation on my Touch is ideal, but it does at least
have a symbol that shows me that shuffle is turned on. Would it be
useful to do the same thing in squeezepad?

Yes, I've used this and like it. I was just thinking there is a
reasonable amount of free space around the album art on the normal
screen, and it would be great to use some of it for a higher resolution
image...

Thanks for the speedy reply!
