First of all, SqueezeCommander looks awesome, and if I had an Android phone, I would be all over it. So, while I don't have such a phone, I've decided to teach myself Android development. I've got Eclipse all set up, and after a little bit of thinking, I decided to develop my own version of an Android remote for a Squeezebox, as a project to learn the ropes. Probably more than I can chew, but I like to jump head-long into things. Unfortunately, I don't have much networking experience outside of setting up a LAN. However, instead of that being a setback, I view as another opportunity to learn while working on this project.
Anyways, enough with all of that useless info. My first step is learning how to interface with Squeeze Server. I've done a bit of looking around, and so far, the best I could find was CLI, but this seems clunky. Do you have any advice? I'm not looking for a comprehensive explanation or for you divulge your secrets. I'm just hoping to be pointed in the right direction.
