Like most of us, my music library exists in 2 forms: FLAC for my
squeezeboxes and mp3 for my iPod. I took the approach of having the
artwork in a separate file (cover.jpg) in each directory rather than
embedding the artwork. The result is that my artwork does not exist in
the mp3 version of my music library.

I have figured out how to embed the artwork into the mp3 files
automatically - that's simple enough (mp3tag to the rescue!). The
question is how to bring that into iTunes so I will see it on my iPod
Touch.

The only way I know to this is to dump my iTunes library and re-import
the mp3s into iTunes. With a large collection of files (33,000+
songs), I'd rather not have to do this.

Does anybody know of an automated way to update the artwork in iTunes
using the embedded artwork in the mp3 files without reimporting the
files?

Thanks!!
