1.0.3? Do you do a nightly "Clear and Rescan" of your libray? Does iPeng start up anew? Usually it should just be waking up and in that case it only loads any new data if you have done a rescan.
Doing a "Clear and Rescan" on a low-powered server is always a bad idea, iPeng has to refresh it's caches and all artwork has to be rescaled although that should not matter too much unless you really browse your library (in which case you load a lot of artwork). Another thing: You mention "New Music", is that where you start up?
