I had accepted that the firmware changes were required between 7.5.2 (FW131) and squeezebox.com (FW132) were normal but thought I would test "going to Setup (press & hold the left arrow), scroll to Automatic Updates = NO" The result is that going from a 7.5.2 squeezenetwork server results in a blank screen in the Classic, requiring a return to setup and enable auto update so the classic can be updated from 131 to 132 and then connect to .com The result going from squeezebox.com to a 7.5.2 squeezenetwork server with auto update disabled in the classic results in a prompt to manually change the firmware from 132 to 131. No matter this is just an observation.
