Thank you for your responses. I can confirm all players and servers had static ip assigned, and have since also tried dhcp where possible.
One issue is that after starting the squeezeboxes, setup logic is as follows; Select Language > Set Up Networking > Connect to an Ethernet Network > "Ethernet Appears Disconnected Please Check Your Network Connection" and it is not possible to move past this point. Will try later software on server but will need to connect players via wireless to test as wired Ethernet is not possible.
