Neither the Radio nor the Touch are all-weather devices, so I assumed that you had some protection from the elements. I wouldn't leave either "out in the yard", but then I wouldn't leave a receiver or amp out in the yard either. I do have a pair of speakers that I leave outside because they are specifically designed for indoor/outdoor use. Even if you keep a Touch or Radio from getting rained on directly, there are limits to the humidity they will tolerate (maybe not an issue if you live in Arizona or something...).
