The receiver stays in a cabinet in an outdoor kitchen setup. It is totally covered and protected (maybe not from humidity). I could always just bring the Touch in the house when not in use but I'd like to not have to plug and unplug all the time. I have the receiver and TV out there in the summer and haven't had any problems.....yet. But another reason to find a cheaper alternative.
