Depends on the DBMS in question, and how the data is cleared down... I absolutely agree that removing some rows would not affect the auto Id values, or you'd end up with a corrupt db, but if one was to truncate the tables (in the case of a full refresh perhaps), in the right sequence, then with some DBMS's this would reset the auto IDs starting value. Not sure about MySQL (my setup is still at 7.3.3), or SQLite however, I'm more Oracle/DB2/SQL Server. I think the data caching is essential if you have a large collection or use large playlists, initially I wanted to go back to the original version of squeezecommander but now that the caching and synchronisation have settled down I prefer the new version, I'm also caching the album art on the phone which is a big help. -- WAD62 Cheers Will ------------------------------------------------------------------------ WAD62's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=38506 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=69352 _______________________________________________ discuss mailing list discuss@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/discuss
