This has been discussed extensively before, although not very recently. Obviously the TP's quality hasn't been eroded, but the Touch has certainly closed the gap between the cheaper SBs and the TP. A lot of people say that a Touch into a good outboard DAC can produce sound quality in the range of the TP, perhaps surpassing the TP with a good enough DAC.
