I'd suggest first to try the ConnectBot App on your phone (you can configure port forwardings for 9000+3483 in there as well, then everything is as described in my guide, see here for more instructions: http://tech.shantanugoel.com/2010/08/02/ssh-tunneling-android.html). It does not need a rooted phone and I also know from some people that didn't have the same problems I had (seems to work better on newer Android versions). The trouble with ConnectBot was, that the end of a songs was not recognized, so SqueezePlayer didn't jump to the next one automatically. As said: try it out if its the same for you. (On Windows you need to install a SSH server like freesshd to get the endpoint for a secure connection) With Windows 7 you might also try to create a VPN connection (VPNs are supported by Android natively).
