Please don't forget that one person's "core feature" is another person's "exotic plugin". I use a lot of plugins, including some of Erland's, and never once thought about using TrackStat, even when it was free. I think DynamicPlaylist and SQLPlaylist are much closer to being "core features" than TrackStat. You probably won't agree, but then that's my point: Logitech can't be developing everyone's idea of core features.
Btw, I don't know TrackStat, but doesn't it store your ratings and play counts in the SQL database? If so, then the time you spent isn't lost, as you can recapture them using any of several utilities that read SQL.
