I was unaware that the server would transcode flac to suit different players. My flac file type is normally set at pcm (on advice on the audiophile thread - you can call that weird if you wish!). Squeezeplay is happy with this setting at CD quality but not 24/96. Setting the file type to support flac 'native' does the job. -- PasTim Server on Windows 7 Ultimate 64 bit, 2 CPU, 2GHz, 4GB, FLAC files. Touch on Ethernet (in another room). Analogue out over 'a bit of wire' to ageing Quad Hi-Fi.
