Still strange that noone else is reporting issues with playback. I'd also wouldn't compare the little mobile WiFi antennas of iPad or Android phone with the ones built into Squeezeboxes or your Laptop with Softsqueeze. Also SqueezePad and SqueezePlayer try to reconnect to the server instantly. It typically skips to the next song then, but playback should continue. What file type are you trying to play? Maybe some transcoding is happening? How long do you play music until the connection loss does happen? Did you check the server-log of the Squeezebox-Server for any errors? On your Android device you might also want to install the free "aLogCat" App. It allows you to send me log-files (supp...@squeezeplayer.com) right after a connection loss.
