I do not know how/where to set the Bit rate for the Squeezeplay Beta. If it is on the player end, it would be the same for DS207+ and DS212+. So still no explanation for the difference in behaviour between DS207+ and DS212+. Please note that the far more powerfull machine is not behaving as expected.
