Sort is easy now: you click on a column heading and then on a button.

To sort a card, you picked a row number that were one per character.
Sort on the first or the second or so on..

All the cards went into the left top side of the machine and they went
into the lower pockets based on that column. One at a time.

So load cards precisely (because they were previously sorted on the
previous character) and keep that joker running.

Removing and stacking the results by rules was necessary but easy.
