I'm very sorry, I missed your question.
SqueezePad supports the official sync menus of the Squeezeboxes, so just
enter the Settings menu -> Synchronization.

Right now I don't plan for a better implementation, as I think most user
are having static sync groups which are configured only once and left as
is.
And for the casual party one might have (OK - well, I'm older now, not
every weekend at my home anymore ;) ) I think that the current interface
is very sufficient.

Also improving the Sync feature is a veerry rarely requested feature,
which makes me believe that my assumptions are not tooo wrong.

As pippin already wrote: Sync Groups sound like a good solution first,
put they really make a lot of trouble once one tries to think a bit more
about it.
