I don't want to use an external DAC, simply because John has told us that the DAC he's going to provide will be very special. (Had he not made this claim I would be happy to use an external DAC). But I definitely want balanced outputs.
Although I personally would prefer it to be on the main board I can see that the extra $75 isn't justifiable when most buyers would be using it unbalanced.
