That includes OSX, Excel, Windows - and Slimserver. You may have had no problems last time you upgraded OSX, but I know several people who did. Likewise XP SP2, and Office upgrades are a frequent cause of pain (why doesn't this document open anymore? where's all the formatting gone?). In most cases all they can do is look at the MS website, see there's a "known issue" and hope it gets fixed. One day.
The support from SlimDevices is leagues ahead of that I've received from pretty much any software company - and that's with the kind of support contracts which cost millions a year. Given that Slimserver is also free (unlike the examples you give) I think it's a pretty damn good deal. I know it sucks to be in the minority for whom things don't work out - I've been there - but you have three choices. (a) go back to a working version (b) actively help debug the problem and benefit yourself and others (c) wait quietly until a new version comes out which fixes the issues (which will be a while if no-one picks option b!). -- radish _______________________________________________ Discuss mailing list [email protected] http://lists.slimdevices.com/lists/listinfo/discuss
