I believe I was the first person to request balanced output, but plenty of others have supported that wish. Based on John's claims for how good the DAC is going to be, the CSP isn't just a SB Classic/Touch replacement, it's going to be good enough (as a player) to be a Transporter replacement (albeit without the digital inputs). (MySqueezebox.com is going to disappear sooner or later, so that's not really relevant). If the guys developing it can include enough flexibility that it can also run LMS and have an attached hard drive, so much the better. If this does come to pass, it can then become the self-contained device you want. But it absolutely must not ever be *only* such a self-contained device.
