I gave up on the free Logitech squeezebox app. It was not as responsive as the other apps and just replicated the squeezebox controller interface without adding any usability or functionality. I had squeezecommander before the Logitech app was released, so I loaded the Logitech app just out of curiosity. It's been a while, but I seem to recall there was something pretty major that was missing that I couldn't do with the squeezecommander app.
Though I started out with squeezecommander, I now prefer orange squeeze because it is currently under development and does everything I need. The UI is responsive and is visually appealing. Managing multiple players is easy as is setting up sync groups. You can also start up an android based player (squeezeplayer) directly from within the controller app. Rich --------- Setup: 2 SB3s, 4 Booms, 1 Duet, 1 Receiver, 1 Touch, iPeng on iPod Touch, SqueezeCommander, OrangeSqueeze, and SqueezePlayer on Xoom and Galaxy Player 4.2. CentOS 6.3 Server running LogitechMediaServer 7.7.2 and SqueezeSlave. Current library stats: 40,810 songs, 3,153 albums, 582 artists. http://www.last.fm/user/maggior ------------------------------------------------------------------------ maggior's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=9080 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=69352 _______________________________________________ discuss mailing list [email protected] http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/discuss
