I wasn't trying to shut down discussion about implementing it, only the audiophool nonsense..... ie. one person says they can tell if phase is reversed. Another, says they can't. One says it matters. Another says it doesn't. I've been down this path myself. I know that there are recordings where absolute phase is reversed. I've built several DAC's which have a single triode (tube) output stage. That results in phase being inverted. So I can think of cases where it would be "useful to have" the ability to reverse phase in software. Do we need it for the JS hardware board? The answer is a no. Would it be useful to have in the toolbox, yes. We are already running late on the community hardware board. Most of the reason for this is that I have myself got bogged down in feature creep, rather than focusing on getting the JS board out there. So, aside from what we have already committed to, I'm not committing us to anything else.... The request for a phase reversal switch has been noted. I suspect it will get implemented in squeezelite.
