+1 for using the Windows version, although I do seem to be able to still
get analysis done on my QNAP server using the web interface provided by
Charles of Spicefly. Since I now replicate my music to other servers, I
have started to archive the fingerprints within the MP3 tags, but I also
backup the m3lib file as well. So I run stand-alone and once the
analysis is done it's not so bad. I guess this is the world we will have
to get used to - if Logitech turn off the squeezebox.com servers it will
be the same. Not as easy but we'll manage.
Incidentally, fingerprinting a few hundred tracks usually runs fine
overnight on the server, and as machines get more powerful it will take
less time. If I lost all my fingerprints I'd still have the pc run for
a few weeks to re-do them all again because MusicIP and Sugarcube are
worth it.
