Thanks for an explanation. If a system with two PCM1704 without the filter sounds better Im not going to apply DF1706 filter. On the site 'http://www.pavouk.org' (http://www.pavouk.org/hw/modulardac/en_pcm1704.html) I found an example of application 2xPCM1704 without DF1706. Author used five 74HCT164: the first one as 7 bit data delay and the next four as 32 bits left channel buffer. 15536 Do you think it could be a good solution for replacing DF1706?
