never used last.fm (other than for scrobbling my tracks). Did Last.fm allow you to select and play particular songs or albums, or did it work similar to Pandora (that is, play a mix of songs based on a track or artist, but not be able to play *particular* songs. What I like about Spotify is the ability to play specific songs or albums (mostly for previewing new music I might buy later or for one off playing of things I don't want to own). So that's my basis for liking spotify (mog or rhapsody would allow the same thing too, but I moved from MOG to spotify, because it will work even if they shut down mysb.com).
